Want to get the year off to a flying start for your team at work? Looking for a stress-free, fun-filled event for a club, fitness crew, or sports team? Let us throw you a three-hour Everyone’s Adventure event! No organising, perfect for summer, and we’ll do the dishes…

You'll get kayak and standup paddleboard hire for a large group, beach sports gear, and BBQ on our deck. We'll do all the work and clean up afterwards - all you need to do is show up with your team and enjoy Wellington's beautiful Days Bay. Bring your own BBQ food and self-cater, or pay a bit extra and we'll sort if for you. Plus, you can BYO, and we're selling cold drinks, ice cream and gelato for dessert!

Perfect for team-building, learning something new, getting to know each other better, and enjoying the great outdoors.

Plus, you're contributing to an awesome community project - every dollar you spend goes towards covering The Boatshed's operating costs this summer. Once those are taken care of, we'll make gear hire free to the wider community, for the rest of summer!

Check out our packages for different budgets and requirements. You can see what days are available and book your whole event in just a few clicks. FAQs, optional extras, and prices for catered food are below.

Optional Extras

The prices in the packages above are for self-catering on our BBQ. If you’d like us to arrange food for you, just email Dave and let us know.

  • Fish n Chips on the beach - approx $7 per head.
  • Woodfired pizza - approx $15 per head.
  • Cold drinks, ice cream and gelato - available on site, from $3 an item.

Group mountain bike ride to Pencarrow before your booking

Email Dave to arrange this as an add-on. It costs $25 per head and you need to allow an extra three hours before your Boatshed booking. Perfect for groups who love physical activity, or teams keen to book a full day of adventure.

FAQs

Can we BYO alcohol?

Sure! You can’t drink it on the beach, or inside The Boatshed itself, but you’re welcome to consume it on the deck.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We’ll keep an eye on things - we’ll need to make a call on your event by lunchtime the day beforehand. If the weather looks bad, we’ll refund or reschedule according to your preference.
